Day 5: The Basketball Court Becomes Sacred Ground
Dawn finds us at Bega High School, transforming a basketball court into a theatre of imagination. There's wisdom in arriving early - the quiet hours let us create ceremony from setup. We arrange chairs in a horseshoe, turning cold concrete into an embrace, understanding that how we hold space shapes how magic moves through it.
After five performances, our troupe moves like water - each person knowing their role, flowing without words. As we prepare, Arthur Little circles the space with clapsticks in hand, each beat writing new stories over old court markings. The sound carries across morning air, calling students to something different than their usual assembly.
Professor Asterix emerges first, his voice finding courage in vulnerability. Even without music, his song carries truth that makes teenagers lean forward, forgetting to be cool. Alejandro's magic follows, proving wonder doesn't age - cards dance, phones vanish, and cynicism melts like morning frost.

Wanni and Yol transform the court into ceremony ground, their dance speaking languages older than the school itself. Professor Song appears like a dream, teaching about trees and connection while Lol's voice loops create new sonic landscapes. When Suz and the Professors arrive with their rap, even the most resistant hearts begin to crack open.
As "Purple" erupts with puppets parading, we see creativity isn't lost, just sleeping. The students stay even after the bell, hunger for wonder overwhelming routine.
We pack up in the same silence we arrived with, each movement a dance we've perfected over days. The basketball court returns to its usual form, but something has shifted in the air above it.
As we drive toward Uncle Bruce's farm, we carry the energy of transformed space with us. Tomorrow we'll wake with grandfather sun, welcome smoke ceremony, acknowledge country and mother nature. But today showed us that any space can become sacred when imagination leads the way.
